QMUL Law academics sign letter claiming Investigatory powers bill not up to the task

Professor Sionaidh Douglas-Scott, Professor Elspeth Guild, Professor Eric Heinze, Professor Valsamis Mitsilegas, Dr Theodora Christou, Eric King and Amber Marks from the School of Law have signed a letter published in The Guardian about the UK’s investigatory powers bill. It reads: “At present the draft law fails to meet international standards for surveillance powers. It requires significant revisions to do so.”
