Centre for Law and Society in a Global Context: New Co-Director and the 2015-16 Events Calendar

The Centre for Law and Society in a Global Context (CLSGC), a home for multidisciplinary research into the global dimensions of law and society, is delighted welcome the new co-director of the Centre: Professor Sionaidh Douglas-Scott.

We are also excited to announce our series of new events in 2015-16. The events for this coming year include:

  • Lectures, including the Annual Lecture and a new series of Policy Lectures
  • Half-Day Workshops
  • The Annual Seminar Series
  • New Book Symposia
  • Ad Hoc Seminars.
  • The CLSGC will be hosting over 70 guest speakers from around the world.

Topics that will be explored, in a multi- and inter-disciplinary way, include jurisdiction, adjudication and indigenous peoples, climate change, global law and science fiction, solidarity in the EU, whaling and international law, and many other topics.
