qLegal Toolkits Published

Published:

qLegal has published the first batch of legal advice ‘Toolkits’ for start-up companies and entrepreneurs.

The Toolkits are online guides on the various areas of law that are of interest to tech start-ups and entrepreneurs. They provide free and easily-accessible legal information and have been drafted by high-calibre Queen Mary University postgraduate students from the School of Law under the supervision of practitioners from top law firms and in-house teams.

You can now find detailed information on what confidential information means and its legal importance in the Toolkit on Confidentiality. You can also find out why is it necessary to create a legal entity and the different types of legal entity in the UK in the toolkit on UK Company Structure and the essential areas of Intellectual property are explored in the Intellectual Property Toolkit.  The Patents toolkit outlines the possible ways of protecting inventions.

Stay tuned for the next toolkits to be released at the end of February covering Licensing, Trademarks and the specific clauses in confidentiality agreements. Meanwhile, please feel free to browse our online resources.
