Professor Malgosia Fitzmaurice spoke at the conference, ‘Krzysztof Skubiszewski –Minister, Judge, Professor’, commemorating the life and work of Professor Krzysztof Skubiszewski on 14 November 2013. Professor Skubiszewski was the first Minister of Foreign Affairs in Poland after 1989 and Judge at the Iran-US Claims Tribunal. Professor Fitzmaurice’s talk was titled, ‘Judge Skubiszewski in the Gabcikovo-Nagymaros case’.
The conference was organised by the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law and the School of Law at Queen Mary, with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in London, where the event was held.
