Norah Gallagher spoke at the Arbitration Ireland Conference

Published:

Norah Gallagher spoke at the Arbitration Ireland Conference organised as part of the Gathering in Ireland in 2013. The Conference brought together international practitioners to discuss a range of arbitration matters. Norah spoke on the panel discussing "The Likely Future Importance of Arbitration in the Context of EU Free Trade Agreements." Her specific topic related to 'Arbitration and Intra-EU BITs: EU v Arbitral Tribunals'. Ireland does not have any BITs currently in place but local practitioners were interested to hear about potential future liability through BITs negotiated by the EU on behalf of its member states which may include investor state protection.
