Law PhD student blog: A Proposal for a Code of Legislative Standards?

Jack Simson Caird, a third year PhD student, has posted a blog commenting on the House of Commons Political and Constitutional Reform Committee proposal to create a code of legislative standards. Jack is writing his PhD on 'The Practice and Theory of Parliamentary Constitutional Interpretation'. He is also working on a Constitution Unit research project which aims to codify the legislative standards of the House of Lords Select Committee on the Constitution. The project is being supervised by Professor Robert Hazell and Professor Dawn Oliver.
