Queen Mary Team wins London Universities Mooting Shield Competition

Published:

Queen Mary claimed victory in the London Universities Mooting Shield (LUMS) Competition on Wednesday 14 March, defeating UCL (who were long-standing winners of the competition), and ultimately coming top amongst the 10 London Universities who competed.

The final - an intellectual property moot based in the Supreme Court - was very tense - and the Queen Mary team were rigorously challenged by the panel of five judges (top legal practitioners). They all performed outstandingly and are a true credit to Queen Mary. The students in the team were: Gianni Sonvico, Rachel  Hawkins, William Paris and Philip Mutton.
