A team of Queen Mary, University of London students have won the Reed Smith ‘Law Firm of the Future’ competition, beating teams from UCL, LSE and KCL. The competition judging event, which included Reed Smith clients and employees, took place at the Broadgate Tower in London on 21 November 2012.

Undergraduate law students Adina Niculina Goga, Andreas Demetriou, Cecilie Rezutka, Imanpreet Suthar and Nikolaos Giannakakos teamed up to produce the winning video, which featured interviews with staff at Reed Smith, LCIA (London Court of International Arbitration) and Queen Mary. The Queen Mary team was awarded the grand prize of a weekend trip to New York in addition to a week’s work experience in the Reed Smith London office.

Reed Smith said: ‘The Queen Mary team put together a very impressive and well researched and thought out video which really addressed the topic. We were also impressed by the short presentation which they gave before the video was screened - you could tell that they had clearly bonded as a team saying "This competition has taught us about the importance of team work, without that we would never have got this task done."’
