Professor Roger Cotterrell was invited to lecture at 'The Evolution of Law: Theoretical and Sociological Perspectives' conference on 7 December at the University of Fribourg in Switzerland. Professor Cotterrell's paper 'Why Do Jurists Need Sociology of Law? Juristic Practice and Social Science' was responded to by Professor Oliver Goodenough, Vermont Law School.
