Professor George Walker awarded Leverhulme Fellowship for Financial Law

Professor George Walker has been awarded the Leverhulme Fellowship for two years, commencing October 2011.

This will be the second consecutive year that the Leverhume award has been awarded to the Centre for Commercial Law Studies at Queen Mary, University of London. Professor Chris Reed's Leverhulme funded project runs until October 2011.

The purpose of Professor George Walker's research is to examine the nature and content of Financial Law as an independent legal discipline and to produce a series of reference texts on financial law and regulation, financial crisis and financial stability with a new integrated theoretical framework being constructed for the examination of all aspects of modern national, European and international banking and finance law.
