Professor van Bueren argues that some disabled people in the UK may be snubbed by the Government. “Although the UK was among the first to sign the UN convention on the rights of persons with disabilities, it is now refusing to implement all of its provision. Important areas of our community life will be left inaccessible to those with disabilities,” she said.
