'Moot court sets up legal career' - LLB Mooting Winner Alumnis -Michael Attenborough and Vijaiya Poopalasingham featured in 'The Times'
Queen Mary alumnus Michael Attenborough discusses the benefits of competitive mooting for career progression in today’s Times. Attenborough, with fellow student Vijaiya Poopalasingham, beat teams from more than fifty other institutions to win the 2006 National Mooting Competition while studying at the College, receiving work experience in chambers, a cash prize of £1,000 each, and £1,000 for Queen Mary’s School of Law. Mr Attenborough, who will be called to the Bar later in July, explains that mooting: “Gives you something concrete to back up your claims when you get an interview and say ‘I am a good advocate.”
