Digital Learning Officer
The Digital Learning Officer is responsible for the E-learning components. They deliver the development and maintenance of core learning and support systems, essential to the successful delivery and continuous improvement in the quality of Undergraduate, Postgraduate Taught and Postgraduate Research programmes within the School.
Steve works with academics and support staff across the School, advising and supporting them in order to facilitate and develop both new initiatives and online materials using the Virtual Learning Environment (QMPlus). He captures and analyses data from the school’s learning support systems to support and execute the school’s plans for development and innovation in these systems. He evaluates the suitability and effectiveness of different types of online content, and investigate emerging technologies, continuously developing and improving the area of digital learning and being responsible for assisting in the enhancement of learning and teaching elements on our social network channels.
Steve advises staff in the development of their QMPlus module pages to complement teaching and aid research and promotes, communicates and disseminates E-learning information to staff and students. He oversees and implement Student IT software for the School and is the admin contact for QMPlus VLE support needs.
The Digital Learning Officer is part of the Teaching and Learning Team in the School of Business and Management.
