The Mayor’s Entrepreneur competition: SBM info session

The Mayor of London runs an annual competition called the Mayor’s Entrepreneur,  where students from universities all over London to come up with sustainable business ideas to help make London a better place to live and work in. For the first time this year there are four separate awards focussing on the environment, smart cities, creative industries and health. The winners from each award receives £20,000 and expert advice from City Hall to get their idea to market. 

SBM and the Mayor's Entrepreneur team are running a workshop for current students who are interested in finding out more about the competition. Come to the workshop to:

  1. Learn tools to help you come up with business ideas

  2. Hear from past winners and finalists about their entrepreneurial experience

  3. Find out how to apply to the competition and what the judges are looking for

  4. Get feedback on your business idea from competition staff

  5. Meet like-minded students from across London and maybe find your ideal business partner

By applying you will also be eligible to apply for one of 30 mentorships with some of the corporate partners of the GLA. The deadline for application is 22nd March 2020 and final pitch date will be in May 2020.
