Profile

I am currently employed as a Research Associate at the Centre for Primary Care on a project funded by the NIHR School of Primary Care “Hidden in plain sight: The unseen work of general practitioners”. The research is being conducted in collaboration with the Universities of Manchester and Exeter and will adopt a range of qualitative methods to explore the nature and impact of ‘hidden work’. We aim to engage GPs and practice staff in identifying areas of work that may be amenable to changes in working practices.

I have a background in speech and language therapy (HCPC registered) and applied health research. As a researcher, I use a wide range of qualitative means to explore staff and service user experience, with a particular focus on ethnographic fieldwork, and interviews.
