Profile

I am a Research Fellow in Health Data Science based in the Clinical Effectiveness Group (CEG) within the Centre for Primary Care. I work under Professor Wu and Professor Mathur, within the Precision Health programme developing methodologies to gain insight into health disparities using electronic health records. My research interests include ethnic inequalities in cardiovascular disease and diabetes, particularly methods to quantify risk among mixed ethnic groups.

I completed a PhD in Pharmacoepidemiology at LSHTM, where I used trial emulation methods applied to CPRD and HES data to explore treatment effectiveness and risk of common medications for the prevention of cardiovascular disease in underrepresented and excluded groups. As part of my PhD I spent time at the IDIAP Jordi Gol, Barcelona, applying methods to electronic health record data from the SIDIAP database. Prior my PhD, I completed an MSc in Medical Statistics at LSHTM.
