Profile

I hold the position of Research Fellow in Health Data Science within the Clinical Effectiveness Group (CEG) at the Centre for Primary Care. I work in the Precision Health Programme where I conduct in-depth analyses of electronic health records, in particular CPRD,  to explore multimorbidity, oral health and cardiovascular disease associations. My research focus involves combining statistical methods with innovative data science to chart disease trajectories, reveal multimorbidity clusters, and explore health inequalities.

I have extensively worked with various routine data sources and real-world evidence, including CPRD, HES, UK Biobank, and NHANES . Before joining QMUL, I gained valuable industry experience as a Health Data Scientist for a data-intelligence company. I previously achieved an award for Research Excellence for my PhD at the University of Leeds, where I employed a combination of statistical methods and innovative data science techniques, such as process mining and hypergraphs, to unveil intricate patterns within periodontal disease and multimorbidity. Prior to that, I completed a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the University of York where my master's dissertation investigated the case-finding accuracy of anxiety and depression within routinely collected health records.
