Worked in private sports medicine clinically for over 15 years, and has provided podiatric sports medicine services on a consultancy basis for Team GB/England Institute of Sport, several professional football teams, the PGA European (DP World) golf tour, Surrey Country Cricket Club, and Disney (West End stage shows).

Has Fellowships in Podiatric Medicine at the Royal College of Podiatry, and the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons (Glasgow).

Research

Main interests: Foot and ankle pathology, Lower limb biomechanics and injury risk, foot orthoses mechanisms of effect, running footwear.

  • Lecturer in Sports and Exercise Medicine at the Centre for Sports and Exercise Medicine, Queen Mary University of London.
  • Teaches on the iBSc and MSc Sports and Exercise Medicine degrees.
  • Leads the Biomechanics module, and is co-leader of the Sports Injury & Podiatric Assessment module on the MSc.
  • Adjunct lecturer on the Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia.
