Increasingly technological advances provide opportunities to support inclusion and innovation. We explore factors influencing how individuals and groups interact with technologies with an aim to improve design and facilitate the use of technology to promote inclusion, creativity and innovation across the life course.

Key questions:

  • How can digital and/or AI interventions aid social cognition and promote inclusion and creativity?
  • What biological factors and/or developmental experience promote effective interactions with technologies?
  • How do different aspects of verbal and non-verbal communication affect social inclusion, creativity or the use of technologies?
  • What factors drive the spread of ideas across different communities?
