His research looks into the development and role of copyright law in the context of Thai film culture with a view to imagining what copyright could become beyond the familiar European-American axis. Mespiti is supervised by Professor Johanna Gibson and Professor Jonathan Griffiths. He obtained his LLB (Hons) from Thammasat University (Thailand) and earned his LLM from the University of Edinburgh. Mespiti holds a scholarship from Thammasat University where he is also a lecturer in law, but currently on study leave to complete his doctoral research degree.Research
