Welcome to the School of Politics and International Relations, Queen Mary University of London.
We are internationally recognised researchers who provide a unique focus on politics – local and global. We teach and research international relations from an exciting perspective: alongside traditional areas such as “American Power”, we also focus on the politics of the Global South, especially in terms of the interface between development and security. We explore public policy through a number of different scales – the local, the European, and the Global. And when it comes to British politics we combine the best of academic rigour with the exciting world of practitioners some of whom might teach you directly.

We offer a range of study modes to suit almost all schedules, from distance learning to campus based teaching, as well as full and part time options. In addition to a stimulating selection of modules, we offer shorter versions of our programmes that will give you a Postgraduate Diploma (two semesters full-time, four semesters part-time).
