Our goals

Our primary goal is to uncover new knowledge on metabolic mechanisms that can ultimately lead to improved treatments and personalised healthcare for obesity and related complications.

We strive to develop new drug targets, biomarkers, and clinical approaches that enable better detection, management, and prevention.

Translating our breakthrough discoveries is a key aspect of our work, as we seek to address the inequalities associated with obesity-related complications. We aim to tangibly improve care and outcomes for all patients in the communities we serve.

Looking to the future, our goals include further expanding the network, pursuing larger-scale funding, translating our findings into actionable solutions for patients, and providing training for the next generation of metabolism researchers. Together, we can develop innovative approaches to address one of the world’s most urgent public health challenges - obesity.
