Application guidelines for the Paris LLM and Double LLM with the Sorbonne

Paris LLM

Application procedure for the Paris LLM programme.

What to Expect

Applications are managed by Queen Mary’s central Admissions Office. These are considered on a rolling basis throughout the year. Once you have submitted your online application:

  • It will be acknowledged by Queen Mary Admissions. Queen Mary Admissions review process begins
  • Application checked by Queen Mary for academic and English language requirements. Anticipate up to 4 weeks and potential for communications from Admissions regarding documents submitted.
  • Preliminary decision from Admissions with applicant notified of Conditional or Unconditional offer as applicable
  • Applicant to accept offer via application portal
  • Applicants with a Conditional offer submit evidence and confirmation documents via application portal, once received
  • Further details regarding joining the programme are sent in due course. Note that you will need to pre-enrol in good time.

  • Evidence of English language ability (for non-native speakers)
  • Personal Statement
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • One reference (preferably academic)

Double LLM

Application procedure for the Sorbonne-Queen Mary Double LLM.

Applications are managed by Queen Mary in coordination with the Sorbonne. These are considered on a rolling basis with the opportunity for interview twice per year. Once you have submitted your online application:

  • It will be acknowledged by Queen Mary Admissions. Queen Mary Admissions review process begins
  • Application checked by Queen Mary for academic and English language requirements. Anticipate up to 4 weeks and potential for communications from Admissions regarding documents submitted.
  • Preliminary decision from Admissions with applicant notified of Conditional offer as applicable
  • Applicant to accept offer via application portal
  • Application passed to Sorbonne selection committee
  • Applicants contacted by the Sorbonne with interview date and details. See Coursefinder page for anticipated Interview dates
  • Sorbonne assess candidate, including French language ability, via remote interview with the Programme Co-Director
  • Queen Mary Admissions notify applicant of application outcome
  • Successful candidates receive more information and pay non-refundable deposit of 3000 EUR to Sorbonne by the end of November 2021
  • Further details regarding joining the programme sent in due course. Note that you will need to pre-enrol in good time.
