If you are still exploring your career options, getting involved will allow you to gain new experiences and determine strengths and passions. If you are looking to acquire experience, producing or managing content for Student Media outlets is a great way to develop and evidence skills. You might also find QMSU Student Media outlets useful if you are looking to show your skills and experience, as you will be developing your ability to pitch both yourself and your ideas.

Why get involved?

Any students can get involved by writing articles, producing features and creating programmes and shows. There are countless opportunities across the different outlets and it's a great way to meet new people, enjoy yourself and gain valuable experience for your CV.

  • Develop excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Receive training on a wide range of skills such as libel checking and Photoshop/InDesign.

Time commitments can vary between roles and positions require a varying amount of flexibility.
