QMSU Volunteering

With hundreds of one-off, short-term or ongoing volunteering opportunities to choose from, there is something to suit all interests and availability.

How will this help you progress your career journey?

For those exploring their career options, volunteering is a great way to get a taste for different types of role and industries and discover your own strengths and skills. Volunteering is also a great way to acquire experience, as it allows you to develop skills and experiences that you can use on future applications.

Why volunteer?

Volunteering is a great way to develop skills, gain experience, meet new people, and make a difference. Opportunities take place in the local area and across London, with a range of different charities and volunteering projects.

How to get involved

There are a number of different ways that you can get involved with volunteering either through one of our charity partners, student-led volunteering groups or one-off opportunities as part of Give Volunteering a Go. You can choose from mentoring young people, putting on language classes for refugees, volunteering in the head office of a charity or playing disability sport in local schools to name just a few.

Commitment

The time commitment is flexible and varies per opportunity and charity. During term time QMSU Volunteering only offer opportunities which can be fitted around students’ studies.

Eligibility
