Queen Mary University of London will host national and international speakers specialising in tuberculosis, infectious disease, HIV & paediatrics.

Join us for the Queen Mary University of London Global TB symposium, taking place on Thursday 12 and Friday 13 June 2025, in support of our Postgraduate Certificate in Tuberculosis and the launch of our new Queen Mary and Barts Health Tuberculosis Centre of Excellence.

Like prior events, our two-day symposium features lectures on many aspects of Tuberculosis covering updates in the epidemiology, diagnostics and treatments of this disease in adults and children. You will benefit from meeting world-renowned speakers, including Professor Mario Raviglione (former WHO director of the TB programme), Professor Raquel Duarte del Beso (former Portuguese Secretary for Health), Professor Giovanni Baptista Migliori, and other distinguished experts in the field of TB.

The TB Symposium has been approved by the Federation of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom for 8 category 1 (external) CPD credits.

The event will be held in person at Queen Mary University of London's Charterhouse Square campus.

Featuring our postgraduate certificate (PGCert) Tuberculosis programme

The Symposium is delivered in collaboration with our Online PGCert Tuberculosis programme at Queen Mary University of London. This comprehensive distance learning course offers an emphasis on the prevention, diagnosis, and management of drug-susceptible and drug resistant Tuberculosis, as well as an opportunity to acquire skills in R&D, public health and more. Developed for trainees and consultants in infection specialities and respiratory medicine, it is ideal for TB nurses, public health workers or practitioners with experience in Tuberculosis.
