HITFA Lab
Let HITFA help you validate and screen new chemical entities, compare ligands, and assess side effects in the human gut
HITFA Lab (Human Isolated Tissue Functional Assays Laboratory) is a hybrid academic-commercial laboratory measuring functions of human gastrointestinal tissues. We are located within the Blizard Institute, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London.
- Pharmacology
- Cell to Native Translation
- Nausea, Gastric Emptying, Diarrhoea, Constipation
A highly experienced neuropharmacologist, Professor Sanger is the founder and scientific lead.
Using our experience in pharmacology to solve physiological problems, we can design standard and custom assays to suit your discovery needs.
We have developed a range of models which measure sensory and secretomotor functions of human gastrointestinal tissue. Quantification of efficacy and analysis of human target pharmacology, coupled with deep understanding of gastrointestinal pathophysiology, adds value to new target validation, lead or drug candidate profiling and the unravelling of disease pathophysiology.
