Profile
Dr Gioia Mosler holds a PhD in Environmental Epidemiology from Imperial College London. She is Head of the Global Research Group for Child Health and leads its community engagement activities. She is responsible for setting the group’s strategic direction, overseeing its research programmes, and driving its growth and development. Dr Mosler has used theatre, film, and games to engage communities to communicate complex scientific ideas in accessible ways.
In addition to her leadership and administrative roles, Dr Mosler works in environmental health research. Her current work focuses on effective solutions to respiratory and environmental health challenges in both the UK and Africa. Her recent research projects include the MAIS (My Asthma In School) study, ACACIA (Achieving Control of Asthma in Children In Africa) study, CAPPA (Children’s Air Pollution Profiles in Africa) study, and the Children’s Environmental Health Clinic.
