For four weeks, our student callers have been ringing alumni across the UK to find out what they’ve gone on to do since graduating, updated them on the latest Queen Mary news and told them about the work of the Annual Fund.

We talked to more than 1,300 alumni!

Chajif Thevadurai, BSc physics, one of our student callers, really enjoyed his conversations with our alumni. He says,

‘I talked to an alumna who I had so much in common with. We both bonded over being part of the Bollywood Dance Society - she was the president during her time here. She also studied in the School of Physics and Astronomy and our favourite professor is Dr Theo Kreouzis!’

Our alumni have raised over £95,000! This will make the difference of a lifetime to our students. Here at Queen Mary, 60% of our students are BAME, 42% are the first in their families to go to university and 27% are from households where the annual taxable income is less than £10,000. Support from our alumni is immensely important to these students so that they can fulfil their full potential and graduate.

A massive thank you to our generous alumni for kindly sharing their time and life experiences with our student callers and for supporting the next generation of students going forward!
