I have recently completed a PhD on ethics and politics in the theatre of the French critic, novelist, and playwright Hélène Cixous. I am currently working to rewrite this work as a monograph. Other research interests include French women’s writing, and representations of care and aging in literature and film.

I teach on recent women’s writing in French, autobiography and autofiction in twentieth-century French writing, and memories of World War Two in French writing, art and film. I have also taught twentieth-century theatre.
