Research Interests:

My PhD explored working memory changes relative to stage in the menopausal transition, dependent on initiation of both hormone therapies and natural alternatives. Since then, I have worked as a researcher in several departments, exploring delivery and access to various mental health services in specific population groups. My published articles explore access to and engagement with psychological talking therapies dependent on determinants of health such as age, gender and deprivation. I have also carried out investigative work into management of patients in high secure mental health units.

Current Projects

Older adult access to talking therapy services: Older people with common mental health problems are known to have reduced rates of referrals to psychological talking therapies. We are exploring barriers and facilitators to this type of mental health care and how we can improve access in older adult populations.
