Mergen Dorjnamjil, School of Biological and Behavioural Sciences
I helped transform student engagement in the Medical Genetics programme as a course representative and member of the Student Engagement Showcase (SESh) committee. My contributions were recognised with the Course Representative Collaboration Award, Course Representative of the Month, and multiple additional awards for student leadership and impact. I reimagined the Module Fair into a more accessible online experience, organised dissertation support sessions, and hosted “Tea with Academics” to strengthen student and staff connections. I also co-developed a Bulletin Board to improve communication and visibility of opportunities. Together, these initiatives boosted participation, strengthened community across year groups, and created a more inclusive and engaging student experience.
