I have been involved in two Students as Partners projects as part of the Institute of Dentistry Student Support Office. I co-created teaching materials on diagnosis and treatment planning alongside other dental students and Dr Hurst – one of our tutors. As someone passionate about education, teaching and learning, as part of the project, I also delivered a co-created teaching session to dental students. The feedback from the students was very positive and fellow students expressed that ‘hearing from another student was relatable.’ The second project I have been involved in is co-developing a guide document to students on how to raise concerns about staff behaviour towards them. The aim of this project is to create a safe space for students to learn in, creating a long-lasting impact.
