As BL LGBT+ Co-Representative, I had the pleasure of working with incredible staff and students to work towards a more inclusive and safer QMUL. My focus was ‘queerifying’ the medical school curriculum. The education of future doctors is integral to equitable care for patients of any gender or sexuality, and the medical school needs to prioritise this. Through sharing students’ concerns, sending letters, working with staff leads and running events, there has begun to be a shift in implementing our advice. Of course, a massive thank you to my co-rep, Lucy, who has been a joy to collaborate with."
