The law can be confusing and intimidating to business owners. That’s why qLegal, in partnership with Culture Mile and ArtULTRA, recently launched a pilot project focused on the exchange of knowledge between artists, creatives and lawyers in an attempt to demystify the law for business owners.

Ending the year on a high note, students and staff recently celebrated their successes at the mixed-mode qLegal graduation party.

qLegal staff and students enjoyed being part of the annual Queen Mary Festival of Communities on Saturday, 11 June, in Stepney Green. It was an opportunity to engage with Tower Hamlets families about entrepreneurship and qLegal.

qLegal staff joined clinical professionals from across the UK for a conference hosted by the University of Central Lancaster

On 6 September 2022, Eliza Platts-Mills and Emily Wapples presented at a UK-wide gathering of Clinical Legal Education Organisation members hosted by the University of Central Lancaster in Preston. It was a great opportunity to hear what other clinics are doing and to meet people in person.

Queen Mary initiatives contribute to research on making debt-related communications more effective

Two Queen Mary students joined lawtech start-up, Amplified Global and debt advice charity, StepChange as they presented their Mixed Messages report at the Financial Conduct Authority. The students had taken part in qLegal-led interdisciplinary research for Amplified Global in support of their mission to improve legal and financial communication, and in furtherance of Queen Mary’s .
