Professor Kate Lowe will present at the 60th Renaissance Society of America (link is external) (RSA) annual conference. Professor Lowe is the Co Director for The Centre for Renaissance and Early Modern Studies (CREMS) at QMUL. Professor Lowe will present a paper on ‘Contextualising the presence of the black African woman in the Sassetti chapel fresco in Florence’ in a panel on ‘Africans in early modern Tuscany: visual images and personal identities’.
