Career Workshop for 2018 History Finalists

History graduates of 2018… if you don't yet know 'what next' after life at QM, get your career on track with these intensive career workshops designed to help you identify & secure your first role as a graduate. 4 workshops each day… followed by the opportunity for a short individual career discussion.

 

 

The programme for the day is as follows:

 

Morning Sessions: 9.45 – 12.45pm

The goal of the morning is to help you move forward with identifying or confirming what you want to do next and then exploring how to go about finding those entry level roles.

• Session 1. Find Direction and Make Confident Decisions About Career Choice
• Session 2. Creative Job Hunting Strategies – Find Out What Works

Lunch available 12.45 - 13.15pm


Afternoon sessions: 13.30 – 15.45pm  

The goal of the afternoon is to get you ready to make strong applications whether via CV, Cover Letter or Application form.

• Session 3. A Great CV… The Basics + Tailoring your CV to a Job Description
• Session 4. Making a Strong Application… The Essentials!

 

Individual Career Discussions: 16.00 – 17.00pm

This is an opportunity to explore outstanding queries or issues that have arisen for you during the day.

Sessions bookable at lunchtime each day… 16 slots available
