Dr Sinclair qualified from Bart’s & The Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2006 and completed his Vocational Training with the Wessex scheme, winning the Richard Goram case presentation prize. Following this he worked in several general dental practices for 12 years across the South East of England during which time he completed a PG Certificate in Dental Law and Ethics and a Certificate in Restorative dentistry. Currently he is undertaking a 3 year MSc course in Endodontics.

Dr Sinclair was a part time Clinical Lecturer at Queen Mary’s in the Adult Restorative Department for 7 years before accepting a full time position in 2018. Having completed a Certificate in Learning and Teaching he has since achieved FHEA status. In addition he is also a core examiner for the Royal College of Surgeon’s LDS examinations.

Dr Sinclair teaches Years 1-5 of the BDS Undergraduate Curriculum which involves the delivery of lectures/seminars, lab based clinical skills sessions as well as the supervision of student clinics with patients.

He is the Year 4 Academic Lead, a Mentor to Final Year students and also a Personal Tutor. He is also involved in examining at all levels of the BDS programme and Hygiene Therapy Finals examinations.




Research Interests:


Dr Sinclair is currently carrying out Dental Education Based Research.
