Congratulations to Leon Bassi from the Centre for Dental Public Health & Primary Care, Institute of Dentistry, who was recently awarded a Robin Davis DCP Research Award from the Oral and Dental Research Trust, supported by Colgate. The grant will be used to explore awareness of the International Caries Detection and Assessment System (ICDAS) criteria for the detection of dental caries amongst Dental Therapists and Hygienists. Leon received his award at a lunch ceremony held at Chandos House, Marylebone London, supported by his supervisor Aylin Baysan, Clinical Senior Lecturer in Oral Bioengineering. Sara Hurley, Chief Dental Officer for England was present to offer her congratulations to Leon.
