Shanghai University of Finance and Economics

The School of Economics and Finance has also an extra partnership with the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SUFE), at a top-ranked, world-renowned research university. SUFE organises every year the Shanghai International Summer School (SISS), which focuses on three topics: culture, business and innovation. This is a great opportunity to explore Shanghai and China both in the classroom and on the road, thanks to cultural activities, company visits and weekend trips organised.

Participants are offered exceptional opportunities to understand the Chinese market, investigate the causes behind, and the challenges of China’s booming economy. As Shanghai is also a world-leading financial hub and one of China’s most cultural cities, participants will be exposed to a culture that covers a large region in east Asia with customs and traditions varying greatly even between towns geographically quite close to each other.

Duration: The programme runs every year in the first three weeks of July.

Programme Cost: Applicants are exempt from paying both tuition and accommodation fees.

Programme Schedule: View a sample schedule.

Applications: Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, the 2020-21 Shanghai International Summer School was cancelled. Application dates and procedures are communicated to students every Spring. (This statement was updated in August 2021).
