Profile

Daniel is an Honorary Professor in Economics and Finance at the School of Economics and Finance, Queen Mary University of London. He is currently an Executive at the Financial Markets Authority in New Zealand where he is Head of Strategy. 

After leaving university Daniel worked for HM Treasury where his last position was responsible for European and International Financial Services. In 2006 he left the government and worked in the City of London for Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and Barclays.

Daniel has also worked for Binance the crypto-currency exchange and has been a consultant to several US technology and social media companies. Before that he worked as an Advisor to the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Daniel received his BA in Economics from Newcastle and an MA in Economics from York University, Toronto, Canada. Daniel was a Teaching Fellow at Queen Mary University of London whilst studying for his PhD in Economics.
