The School of Economics and Finance ranks first among research intensive London institutions for overall student satisfaction in Economics, according to the 2019 National Student Survey. Students appreciated the teaching and support experienced during their studies: 95% of the students agree that staff are good at explaining things and 94% agree that they were able to contact a member of staff when they needed to. Overall, 86% of the students expressed satisfaction with their learning at Queen Mary University of London.
Professor Sujoy Mukerji, Head of the School of Economics and Finance, commented on the NSS results by stating: "This is excellent feedback from our students which proves that the School is a national leader not only in research but also in teaching. We are very proud of our relationship with our students and we continuously work with them to explore ways in which we can enhance their learning experience".
