The Wall Street Journal has reported on the SEF lecture "An International Perspective on the Productivity Puzzle" that Professor Martin Weale gave on the 8th of December at Queen Mary University.
Professor Martin Weale is a member of the UK Monetary Policy Committee that he joined in 2010. In his lecture, he analyzed the productivity performance of the British economy in recent years and suggested that there may be excessive optimism in predicting future productivity growth in the UK.
