How we work with partners
Explore how our Knowledge Exchange Strategy helps us build these partnerships and turn knowledge, expertise and ideas into social, cultural and economic benefit.
Our partnerships, research and expertise create benefits far beyond the University. From supporting businesses and entrepreneurs to informing public policy, strengthening communities and driving innovation, we work with partners to address real-world challenges and create positive change.
The impact of this work is assessed through the Knowledge Exchange Framework (KEF), a national exercise led by Research England which evaluates how universities work with external partners to generate social and economic benefit. Queen Mary's results demonstrate the breadth and strength of our knowledge exchange activities across a range of areas.
The Knowledge Exchange UK (KEUK) Awards celebrate and showcase outstanding achievements in knowledge exchange across UK universities. The awards recognise individuals and teams who work with businesses, public services, communities and other partners to turn knowledge and research into real-world impact. They highlight innovative collaborations, entrepreneurship, skills development, public engagement and other activities that create economic, social, cultural and environmental benefits.
