Queen Mary's Digital Environment Research Institute (DERI) brings together world-leading researchers to drive new multi-disciplinary research into data science and create innovative applications using digital technologies.
The newly created Digital Environment Research Institute (DERI) is the centre of digital, data science, and AI research at Queen Mary, bringing together experts from across our Faculties of Humanities and Social Sciences, Science and Engineering and the School of Medicine and Dentistry.
Our researchers create new knowledge and share impactful results to support UK leadership in the digital space. We collaborate with academic and industry partners worldwide, and host regular seminars, workshop and sandpit sessions to foster ideas and innovation in digital and data science.
DERI sits within an outstanding digital research ecosystem with strong linkages to the Alan Turing Institute, the University Enterprise Zone and East London’s Tech City, a vibrant cluster of high-tech companies.
