Profile
Professor Craig Mahoney is a higher education leader with a successful career spanning academia, psychology, sport, business and governance. His experience as a twice-serving University Vice-Chancellor/President, CEO, Professor, Board Chair and internationally recognized performance psychologist has enabled him to drive a multitude of impactful initiatives and significant outcomes.
Professor Mahoney is passionate advocate for the value of education. He champions differentiated learning, research-informed teaching and open educational resources. A strong advocate for equality, diversity, and inclusion, Professor Mahoney has championed programmes and initiatives that foster fairness and empower individuals and has been a positive activist for allyship, coaching and mentorship.
Teaching
With a portfolio career, Professor Mahoney is regularly called up to provide Keynote Presentations, guest lectures and workshops on topics including strategy, management, leadership, creative industries, technology in higher education and psychology. In his Visiting Professor role at QMUL, Craig has facilitated the Executive Leadership Programme (ELP) since 2025.
