European election polls: How the EU's establishment parties will lose ground as far-Right populism increases

As the European elections draw closer, Dr Stijn van Kessel was interviewed by The Telegraph. He said: “Centrist political groups that have thus far jointly controlled the European Parliament may see their dominant position threatened. In a sense this is quite similar to traditional mainstream parties losing strength at the national level. Fragmentation of many European party systems is increasing. Issues like the environment and immigration have steadily become more important, and new parties were founded that addressed these issues.”
