Professor Tim Bale, Ben Goldacre lends support as grassroots tactical voting drive to oust Tories grows

The popularity of tactical voting in the run up to the 2017 General Election is because politicians have turned into “toddlers” who cannot compromise, says academic Ben Goldacre. Tactical voting means that people are shedding the tradition of having an allegiance to one particular party. Professor Tim Bale is sceptical about its success. “It may work in a few places – but nowhere near enough to make any material difference to the overall result,” he tells iNews.
