Profile

As School Manager Jo is responsible for managing the Professional Services team and has a strategic role in the development and operation of the School, working with the Head of School and senior team to identify, develop and implement strategy.

Prior to joining the School in April 2013 Jo worked in the Faculty of Science, Agriculture and Engineering at Newcastle University in a variety of roles including REF2014/RAE2008 coordination, research management, governance, quality assurance and timetabling.

Jo is a member of the Association of University Administrators (AUA) and the Association of Research Managers and Administrators (ARMA).

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing the Professional Services team to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of administration across the School's activities
  • Working with the Head of School and Executive Group in the development and implementation of School strategy
  • Leading on financial planning and monitoring
  • Developing and maintaining key relationships throughout the Faculty and professional services
  • Representing the School and Faculty on working groups and committees
