She obtained her PhD in Economics at London School of Economics where she worked on applications of economic theory. After her PhD, she taught at the New College of Humanities, before moving to the University of Kent. At Kent, she became the Programme Director for all taught postgraduate Actuarial Science programmes, before joining Queen Mary in 2022. Dr Nica’s research interests include finance and insurance, based on application of economic theory. Research
